Salut, Josh, for this is pure gold. I am tempted to adopt this for my own reviews, or at least to pick an artist of my own with which to develop a similar scale.

i’m going to rank this article an 8 “Outside: From the Redwoods”, on the kenny loggins scale. the only reason that i’m ranking it an 8 instead of a 9 or 10, is because kenny loggins is so damn happy on 8, where as on 9 & 10, he’s fucking ecstatic. so we should really reserve that 10 for the rare occasion that would make even kenny loggins piss his pants with joie.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that about 9, but 10’s gonna be tough to achieve.
