Rolling Stone has put out a list of the 20 most annoying songs of … our time? I’m not entirely sure of the chronological positioning of the list, but it is comprised of pretty comprehensive douchebaggery if I do say so myself. But what songs would you have included, added, or deleted from this itemized audio annoy-a-thon?
Poor Black Eyed Peas, it’s lonely on the top. List after the jump.
From Rollingstone.com:
1. Black Eyed Peas, “My Humps”
2. Los Del Rio, “Macarena”
3. Baha Men, “Who Let The Dogs Out”
4. Celine Dion, “My Heart Will Go On”
5. Nickelback, “Photograph”
6. Lou Bega, “Mambo No. 5″
7. James Blunt, “You’re Beautiful”
8. Spice Girls, “Wannabe”
9. Sisqo, “The Thong Song”
10. Cher, “Believe”
11. Aqua, “Barbie Girl”
12. Chumbawumba, “Tub Thumper”
13. Rednex, “Cotton-Eyed Joe”
14. Eiffel 65, “Blue”
15. Crash Test Dummies, “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm”
16. Meatloaf, “I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)”
17. ‘NSYNC, “Bye, Bye, Bye”
18. Ricky Martin, “Livin’ La Vida Loca”
19. Semisonic, “Closing Time”
20. Wham!, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”
Oh no, not “Before you Go-Go!” That was my coming-out anthem. I had this song blaring when I ran into every one of my family member’s rooms in the early morning, dressed in a torn white sweater and neon headband, and jumped on their bed while I proclaimed my homosexuality. That isn’t annoying, that’s LEGENDARY. OK, well a little annoying. Whatever. …So what do you think?

any Smash Mouth song ever?
Hmmm..I sense the absence of Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Deep Blue Something and the femme yet baritone yodel of Four Non Talents hit What’s Up…
These rock lists are always so debatable, though…
i think that shaggy song “it wasn’t me” should be on there. or whatever it’s called. it makes me want to punch people in the face.
can we throw anything on here by U2 since the “Joshua Tree” album..seriously them & aerosmith need to be taken out back and shot in the fucking head…or bludgeoned to death with a shovel zombie Robert Goule style!

Where is ‘Hollaback Girl’ by Gwen Stefani. Oh wait, the Rolling Stone is still on her payroll.
