Since the inception of this site, two abominations have been the source of many brutal tirades and lengthy harangues made by our writers and contributors. These abominations? My Chemical Romance and Panic! At The Disco (more nefariously referred to by us as Pitchfork! At The Disco). In celebration of our collective fervent derision, I offer to you, gentle readers, this footage of Panic! At The Disco’s frontman, Brendan Urie, being whacked in the head with a bottle, wisely thrown by a knowing Brit during the UK’s Reading Festival. Sure, this happened in August 2006, but justifiable violence never really goes out of style, does it?

My favorite part is that after he gets hit, the rest of the band just kinda stands around for a while. It’s as though they even hate each other.
hahaha, i know! the singer drops to the floor and they keep playing the song for several seconds, as though the audience isn’t going to notice the lead just got decked. and then that one guitarist gets all pissed off, but i get the distinct feeling he isn’t pissed because someone attacked his band member, but rather he’s pissed because he’s part of such a shitty band that audience members feel the need to throw glass at them.
The guitarist’s and vocalist’s outfits are so much alike that when the guitarist walked offstage, I thought it was the soul of the vocalist leaving the body.

i love the person clapping in front of whoever is holding the camera, right after he gets knocked out. that person hates this stupid band as much as we do. we should find that person and offer them a gig writing for superstarcastic.
