Joie

Joie Mikitson writes about music for various publications, obsesses about making the perfect mixtape and is famous for knowing the lyrics to everything. She works as a mild-mannered interactive producer during the day and moonlights as an indie rock hipster during the night hours.  This is a long, drawn-out way of saying she attends way too many live shows for someone who has to be at work at 8:30 in the morning.

Joie, aka Joiezabel, lives in Chicago when her wanderlust allows her to stay in one place. Other homes have included Senegal, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Denton, Texas.  One of the aforementioned objects does not belong.  She loves jetlag, collarbones and lo-fi music. She does not love writing bios. She was born in a taxi cab, her papa was a rodeo, her mama was a rock and roll band and she recently rode into town on a night train with an armful of box cars.
