Chris

cz_journal is Chris. That moniker was given rise in August of 2000 when he was looking for a snappy name for his LJ. BTW, the “z” is possessive, not his last initial. He gets to around five or six live shows a year and thinks about music enough to worry his friends, family and co-workers.

Writing for a targeted music audience being a new thing, Chris looked around for something to model his articles after. He came up with a cross between SPIN’s album reviews (the short ones…100 words per) and Baseball Prospectus’ player capsules (about 150 words per). At least if he sucks, he won’t take too much of your time and attention away from the better writers in the SSC stable.
